Stepping back into the code (9/10-9/14)

Last week was busy, with classes getting started and all, and I really only had time to set up the developer environment. We've switched (from using Netbeans and Git Bash) to solely using Eclipse, which is exciting, because it means that the terminal and the code editor are all in one place now. Also, Eclipse has a prettier interface for editing some of the types of files than Netbeans did.

This week I sat down with Jordana and decided what parts of magic sort should be incorporated into the live site (soon) and which parts need more time and thought. For now, I'm just implementing a "most awesome items" sort of sorting system (i.e. magic sort without the personalization), but it also incorporates explicitly featured items, and new items. I'm also including the change that Michael made to the entry bar on the world page, such that it is minimized unless you mouse over it. The user-related part of magic sort will remain in the code, but won't be actively used at present. Jordana will take a look at incorporating that part of the magic sort later, since I'm going to switch to working with Michelle on the role modeling ideas pretty soon.
